Colibri

Overview

Colombia is the second most biodiverse country in the world. It also ranks first in the diversity of birds and orchids so it makes it the perfect place to see different birds, flowers and even other creatures you most probably have never seen before (not even on Netflix!) One of the challenges our environment is facing is loss of biodiversity due to causes including loss of habitat and exploitation of resources especially when cutting down dense forest areas of forests to turn them into agricultural land.

Conservation Partner

Madhú Natural Reserve is a private reserve located on the western slope of the central mountain range of Colombia, looking at the valley of the Cauca River, in the foothills of the complex of moors of Las Hermosas and Las Dominguez. The area of 270 hectares of dense Andean forests is dedicated to study, research and production of citizen science.
