HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

Sustainable Tourism

The World Tourism Organization defines sustainable tourism as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities".

Statement of Impact

We aim to support the impact of local conservation projects and measure the impact of our unique experiences and travel journeys on individual's behavior.

Supporting SDGs:

Enta Green Journeys supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goals that call for promoting prosperity while protecting the planet. The importance of sustainable tourism is highlighted in SDG target 8.9 which aims " By 2030, devise and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products". Target 12.b. also highlights the aim to “develop and implement tools to monitor sustainable development impacts for sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products”. Our experiences support further SDGs as follows:

Our experiences promote sharing resources, eliminating food waste, using sustainably sourced material, practicing zero waste lifestyle and recycling where possible.

Our marine journeys support raising awareness of marine pressing issues, promoting marine biodiversity education and providing opportunities to participate in solutions.

Our terrestrial journeys support raising awareness of terrestrial pressing issues, promoting terrestrial biodiversity education and providing opportunities and tools to enjoy nature responsibly.

Empowering local environmentalists, partnering with local guides, businesses and projects with sustainable goals and positive impact on local communities.
